Pharmaceutical Payer Marketing Director – Market Access and Payer Segment

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Kinetix Group is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Director to join our team on a full-time basis. This person will be in charge of the overseeing activities for one or more accounts based in the pharmaceutical market access and payer strategy segment. This role serves as the senior level client manager and is expected to develop and lead strategy, overseeing pull through to project deliverables. He or she will be expected to act as the primary client contact for the accounts they manage.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience
  • Prior experience in Pharma/Healthcare Marketing/Advertising is required
  • Experience in Managed Markets/Payer Marketing is required.

Relevant skills and experience include:

  • Product pre-launch, launch, and post-launch strategy
  • Development of pull-through strategy and execution
  • Development of payer value proposition messaging
  • Analysis and implications of competitive landscape intelligence
  • Experience in coding and reimbursement policy
  • Experience in public and private insurance markets
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and team work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment with the potential of late nights, weekend time, and business travel
  • Proactive team player with the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight and be decisive and diplomatic
  • Capacity to work under stress and manage tight deadlines
  • Outstanding organization, communication and presentation skills
  • Team oriented, with experience managing and building a team


  • Maintain a strong understanding of client business needs
  • Understand the payer landscape and actively assess and analyze current market trends
  • Facilitate and communicate client interactions
  • Oversee multiple work streams and associated resources
  • Mentor, inspire and develop junior staff
  • Drive account growth organically
  • Support and execute day to day tasks associated with projects
  • Client management and address concerns as needed
  • Drive program planning and strategic development
  • Manage client expectations, timelines and budgets
